We saw them last Fall/Winter season and we again saw them emerging in different fabrications and structure on runway for Fall/Winter 2014. pastel pink trenches, coats and faux fur jacket are super trendy no matter if you choose structured, oversized, knee length, short or long.
Many designers embraced the trend so we could see it featured on Burberry Prorsum, Jil Sander, Comme des Garçons etc.
I know what you are thinking. Aghhh…Pink..The coat is usually costly investment piece so you prefer to get black, brown or grey one for more wearing options. But I’m telling you, you can definitely combine pink (especially pastel pink) and look extremely chic across seasons. On the other hand, similarly to white coat, it can be sensitive for care as it is light colored and can get dirty easily.
I actually got an adorable powder pink trench by London based designer Vjera Vilicnik earlier this Summer on Trendcy Dubrovnik Sample Sale on bargain price. The coat is waisted, with skirt bottom a satin bow belt and beautiful gold embellished buttons on sleeves and collar.
My favorite ways to combine pink is with burgundy red, brown leather, leopard print (surprise, surprise), navy blue stripes and denim. See some more street-style inspiration below.
Some of the combinations might be light denim button up with short pink faux fur, black skinny jeans and booties. Or for example, classic cotton navy and white stripe (or grey) top, cropped distressed jeans, brown oxfords and pink oversized coat.
What do you say? Are you persuaded? Will you dare to get a pink coat?
