First day of the event, Friday, September 24th, is considered a warm-up before the striking Saturday, and consists of a 25 kilometer ride to the village of Cokuni, where the keen cyclists are welcomed by hosts of the family farm Stancija Kumparicka. The cyclists will enjoy special tastes and smells of traditional istrian goat cheese and prosciutto at the farm. After return-pedaling, the cyclists will be fairly rewarded for an excellent training day and good preparation for the striking Saturday – by alluring courses of gastro pleasures at the Puli Pineta tavern in Zminj.

The main attraction, with its two parallel routes, Corso Bello (60km) and Corso Grande (120km), starts on Saturday at the beautiful Villas Adagio nearby Zminj, and ends at one of the finest wineries of the region – the Kozlovic winery. The Adriavélo team will enjoy the wind in their hair sliding down the maintained cycling roads, and will stop for a short refreshment at the prosciutto factory Milohanic – a small family farm well known for top quality prosciutto, impeccably aged cheese, majestic olive oil and warm homemade bread.

Exactly when the athletes will need a new energy inflow, the Adriavélo team will arrive to the Stari Podrum tavern in Momjan. They will have the opportunity to taste the well-known istrian pasta and goulash, boscarin (istrian cow), as well as some of the irresistable dishes of the season!
The route ends with wine tasting in the Kozlovic winery, only one kilometer away, where everyone may find its favourite among the flawless Kozlovic’s wines. A lively malvasia with an aromatic peach scent; a flirty and fruity, enchanting floral muscatto with a rose scent; a crisp and powerfull fruit teran… The visitors will be able to enjoy the scents, smells and taste of the aforementioned wines without any limitations as a return transportation to the villas willl be organized.

An upraised level of expectations, after two days of a completely fulfilled event, will culminate with an autochton dinner at a small family farm At Nadija’s. The visitors will be served courses of tasty homemade dishes, rich in taste and scent, made of top quality homegrown groceries and prepared by experienced hands of native Istrians. This is where we stop with writing about the gastro-delicacies and leave the rest to the reader’s imagination…
