Austria’s biggest art fair, the Viennafair, will be showcasing its 11th edition from October 8th – 10th 2015 at the famous and popular exhibition space Hall A of the Reed Messe Wien. This year, the Fair has been conceived to present new ideas and concepts, carrying the purpose to stimulate Vienna’s young and flourishing art market. It will be up to the visitors to see, which of the exhibited artists, will be the next Damien Hirst, Pierre Soulages or Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Also, for the first time this year, a whole new part will be added to the fair, focusing on fine art. From October 8th – 11th 2015, the Viennafair Masters will occupy approximately 30% of the fair’s exhibition space, and offer its visitors a new range of amazing opportunities to find the missing piece from their collection, or the opportunity to begin one. Vienna being known for its amazing museums and collection of ancient art, you can be sure that some extraordinary pieces will be present.
In cooperation with the experienced and internationally active curator Angela Stief, there will also be a museum area covering about 500m² and gathering an average of 50 international artists. Under the name of “Kinesis – A study on the movement in images”, this very interesting show will focus on Viennese Kinetism (the Viennese analysis of movement through art, counterpart of the French cubism / Russian constructivism), the 1960s and contemporary art. The exhibition will be mainly consisting of loans from museums and private collectors, a very promising combination, bound to give visitors an insider’s view into the evolution of the art market.
