Grand Dukedom of Luxembourg extends over 2586 square kilometers in western Europe, which puts her on the list of smaller countries in Europe, and the world. It borders with France in the south, Germany in the east, and Belgium in the west and north.

Luxembourg is produ of its numerous wine-growing areas, so wine is often drunk, along with the Luxembourg version of moonshine (sljivovica).

1. Capitol

Explore Luxembourg and its stunning renaissance buildings. Be sure to take a look at the Neumunsters abbey, Cathedral of Our Lady, the city’s casemates under UNESCO protection, and the Golden Lady – a monument to the memory of soldiers from the First World War. Don’t forget to visit one of the famous city symbols –the Adolph Bridge – which extends over 153 meters.

2. Nature of Luxembourg

Would you like to explore the flora and fauna of this area head to the national park of the Sure river in the northewest of the country. This area is known for its amazing bird species, but also for its irresistible sceneries that will take your breath away.

3. Reserved for men

National Museum of Military history is a favorite tourist attraction in the city of Diekirch in the center of the country. The museum is extremely big, it spreads over several levels, and the theme is the battle in the Ardennes, which took place in the winter of 1944. Here you can see weapons, uniforms, military equipment, and documents related to this battle of the Second World War.

4. Clervaux

Tourists gladly visit the picturesque city of Clervaux in the north of the country. The one responsible? A beautiful castle of Clervaux, and the Benedictine monastery in the St. Cosmas and Damian churches, which dates back to the middle ages. Fans of castles wiill head to the city of Vianden in the northeast of the country.

5. Wine valley

Worlds enologists and sommeliers know that the leading white european wines come from the Moselle valley – which extends thorugh the northeast of France, southwest of Germany, and east of Luxembourg.
